With the region’s immense potential in providing leisure travel experiences with emphasis on ecotourism and nature-based activities, the familiarization tour of these two groups has opened the door to opportunities of putting the region in the bucket list of the international tourists establishing their networks with the local operators in the region for possible partnerships.
Eurocuanza, a tour operator that specializes in creating tours to Asian destinations is starting to process the establishment of its network in the country. This tour operator has operations in Portugal and in Angola. Eurocuanza made their familiarization tour last 16-22 of August in the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela.
Meanwhile, the Tuniu.com group which is based in China made their visit last 2-4 September and made their rounds particularly in the town of Sta.Ana, Cagayan. Tuniu.com is a leading online leisure company in China that offers a large selection of packaged tours, includingorganized and self-guided tours, as well as travel-related services for leisure travelers through its website tuniu.com and mobile platform. Prior to the familiarization tour, the group participated in the Philippine Travel Mart where they had business to business meetings with the Region 2 Travel and Tour Operators Association (R2TATOA) from 31 August to 01 September.
