The Municipality of San Pablo in the Province of Isabela  today begins a fun-filled celebration of its town fiesta featuring the 9th Baka Festival until January 15, 2013.

Led by Mayor Antonio N. Miro, Jr., San Pablo has been promoting its major industry, Cattle raising, (baka in the Ibanag dialect) in over 20 ranches all over the town.

Activities lined up this year are the following:  Best-dress Baka Parade, trade fair, talent shows, Search for Rodeo King and Queen, Street dancing showdown, indigenous games contest, sportsfest competition Motocross competition, San Pablo Got Talent Show, Barangay Night and Popularity Contest for children, among many others.

Balikabayan’s will also be given a special recognition through its Balik San Pablo Program where guests will be treated to a cultural show and dinner by the church patio.

Aside from its cattle industry, San Pablo is also famous for its San Pablo Church, a Spanish colonial structure with beautifully restored façade which still exhibits a remarkable architectural design.

The most exciting activities for the 9th Baka Festival will happen on January 15, Tuesday, at the Rodeo Arena in San Pablo where cattle wrestling activities will be showcased to the guests including cattle branding and street dancing showdown
