BATANES ISLAND TOURS

3 days – 2 nights
The Whole Province of Batanes has been declared as Batanes Protected Seacapes and Landscape. A complete ecotourism destination, Batanes offers culture and nature products. Culturally, the Ivatan’s way of life is relatively intact. Ancient Ivatan structures like the “Idjangs” still exist. Stone houses are still common province-wide. For mountaineering and trekking, Mt Iraya poses a great challenge. The waters between the islands offer great water sports activities.
Day 1
Take a jeepney or rent a bike to go around Batan Island. Visit the Sto. Domingo Church and Mahatao town for photographic scenes and friendly neighborhood; Di-atay Beach Cove for its multi colored beach and inviting water; Radar Tukon – US weather station offering 360 degree view of the Island; Fundacion Pacita is the home of the late Pacita Barsana-Abad, a world-renowned painter; busy Fisherman’s village at Racujaide in March and the sunset of Songsong, Chadpitan Bay and end the day with a stroll at Basco town proper and the Kanyuyan Beach Port.
Day 2
Early drive to San Vicente Port in Ivana and take the first boat to Sabtang Island; explore this relatively unspoiled and undisturbed island; enjoy the countryside scenes and friendly Ivatans; lunch, swim and snorkel at the picturesque Nakabuang Beach Cove; back to Batan Island at 2 PM. Drop by the church of Ivana and the Honesty Store before driving back to the hotel.
Day 3
Visit Batan Market for Garlic and handicrafts products at Ivatan Lodge. Check-out and drive to the airport for flight out of Batanes
