50 Philippine crocodiles reintroduced into Dicatian Lake, Divilacan, Isabela
On Friday 31 July 2009, 50 captive-bred Philippine crocodiles were released into the wild in Dicatian Lake, Barangay Dicatian, Municipality of Divilacan, Isabela Province, Luzon Island. The reintroduction event was led by Mayor Venturito Bulan of Divilacan, Barangay Captain Felino Libunao of Dicatian, Director Glenn Rebong of the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, Josie De Leon of the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau, Merlijn van Weerd of the Mabuwaya Foundation and invited guests, local government officials and community members. read more>>
DOT Wins Best Decorated Booth – Domestic Pavilion

DOT Cagayan Valley Region won first place in the Best Decorated Booth Category – Domestic Pavilion in the recently concluded 16th Travel Tour Expo. The 16th TTE was conducted last February 6-8, 2009 at the SMX Convention Hall of Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
Bohol Beach Club and Caraga Region took the second and third place, respectively, for the domestic pavilion while India Tourism (1st place), Singapore Tourism Board (2nd place) and Quarter Airways (3rd place)) won for the best decorated booth for international pavilion. read more>> |
